Behaviour Guidance and Management

Children have relatively limited communication skills and are less able to express their fears and anxieties. Their behavior is essentially a reflection of their inability to cope with their anxiety.

When children cannot cope, they attempt to escape the impending event. Behavior guidance & management aims to give children appropriate coping strategies.

Behavior management techniques are about communication and education. The relationship between the child, the child’s family, and the dental team is a dynamic process.

Our Paediatric dentists are specially trained to understand your little child’s psychology and implement ideal behavior management strategies for better cooperation.

We choose appropriate behavior guidance and management technique(s) based on the individual (child’s) level of cooperation and ability to understand. It could be a single or combination of techniques.

Role of parent: Parental anxiety is closely related to a child’s behavior. Therefore, we prefer to prepare the parents first prior to the first dental visit and treatment appointments of their little one with discussion and preparatory notes.
